It is much appreciated.

I told you that I would give you some samples of my creations. So here is some pages of a book that I am making art in. I am really enjoying. I am learning to sketch, so maybe when I get a little better I will show you some. Water color and ink!
So I guess next maybe some singing, songwriting, photos, and something else.

Music Video

Can You See Me?
I made this.
I think it is cool.
Maybe you do too!
If you do then my mission has been accomplished!
This video has hidden things in it.
1) Katie
2) A message
3) Ken Robin's smile*
4) Cher and Me.*
5) A blinker that is dead on the beat!
*both easy to find...

and then are some fun facts that you didn't notice.
I had to make 20 layers and over 200 cuts to make the last 6 seconds of the video! I spent 5 days editing with an average of 6 hours everyday.

Cheralynn Brantley was my camera crew and assistant director and sanity support during editing.
Music by Justen Andrews
Starring: The Music Track 2010-2011

Feed back accepted and even encouraged...

wait what?

Is that you?
Or is it me?
Where do I stop and you start.
It seems kind of far away right now,
Like a long banner of blur between.
I don't know what it is filled with,
probably wasted time, wrong thinking, and a warped view of you.
But I don't want it, I reject all that is out of focus,
all the hazy unknowns.
Come near. Draw close.
Less of me and more of you.

coming quickly.

Austria is coming sooooon! We leave in 2 Mondays! March 7th at 7am!
This week is creative week and I am editing the music video which I am almost done with it so you can see it this weekend! Woot woot. I guess I haven't really been showing you much of my art, so I will try to give you some examples in the next week before I leave.

Part of my prep for outreach is finding people to pray for me each day, so if you would like to pick a day of the week that you will remember to pray for me on that would be fabulous just leave a comment saying which day you will take.

Thanks.

lovely links.

I am a internet explorer. I love to find artsy things. I share some of what I find but not very often, so here are somethings that I have found and my little commentary on each.
You should watch this. It is fantastic.
The Voice of Injustice
(The part about Christians is what we have been learning about, being a disciple and not hiding in the Christian movements and circles, giving our 10% to the needy and judging those who smoke outside grocery stores.)
My Utmost for His Highest
(I like to read it almost everyday, I challenges me to be all God's)
This and this.
(Artsy videos that I really like)
Juice Box Camera
(Who doesn't want one of these?)
Vintage Photographs
(From after the Depression, pretty amazing)
Back to the Future
(A really great photography series, that is funny and weird.)

Cheerio.

crown me.

I had the best birthday!
Friday, I turned 19. It started with a delightful waffle breakfast in bed, made by Lyndsay and Kelly, which Katie ate with me, then I put on this fabulous new dress that Alida gave me. Then I put on my crown and drew some wiskers for a really great walk where I showed Katie a magical little river. On our walk we made a friend named Marco who started talking to us because of our wiskers. Then for dinner we had really huge hamburgers that Gareth and Justin made. Aubrey desinged me a fabulous card and gave me a headband, and Katie gave me this really awesome little kid book, the only down side it is an animal theme... I got to skype my family and open a box of presents from them. Then I went to Gabby's with Caroline, Aubrey, and Katie where we celebrated some more with Gabs, Silvia, Josephin, and Amy where Aubs and me recieved cards and gifts and had lots of fun! The uke even got brought out for some singing. The reason I mention all the gifts is I am in YWAM, and nobody has any moola, but that doesn't stop people's generous hearts from over flowing into cards, food, and gifts, but then they give you quality time too! It was wonderful.

Evangelism

This week we had 4 speakers from Sweden. They work and live at a famous ski resort their and run a community/church called Lighthouse. They are awesome. Three had gone to Bethel Church school where they learned about different ways of evangelism.
They live and breath with Jesus and are active in the prophetic and bring the kingdom of God to people right where they are. Where ever they go they try to love on people and talk to them about Jesus. I don't think I have met anybody so young who hears God so clearly. They shared with us tons of stories about bus rides when God highlights someone and they talk to them and pray for them. They prophesy and heal people on their shopping trips, so radical! I love it.
Today, we went out for an hour on a "treasure hunt", where you ask God to bring things to mind like location, a physical description, a name, random other stuff, and something to pray for. So awesome! Today, we went out and talk to and prayed for about 40 different people and some because they were on the paper and others just because...
My story of the day: I got a bunch of things on my paper but the most specific things that I was positive about was a bright blue down coat made by Bergans. We parked and then bam, there it is exactly the picture I got, so we talked to her and just shared what we were doing and talked with her a bit, she didn't believe in God and wanted no prayer but I hope God keeps putting her on peoples lists. :)
One more story, Andre' got a super specific list! He got a specific place in town, these stairs going down to the canal, a girl with brown hair, and the name Silia. He went there, found the brown hair girl, and asked her if her name happened to be Silia, yep! She didn't want to be prayed for but he just showed her the paper and told her she was on God's mind, she agreed that he was probably right.
I am learning so much about hearing God's voice and I love it.

beloved.

Happy Valentines Day!
I often look at images on weheartit.com and Flickr to get inspired or just see what is out there. Today I ran across this one by Mike Baird and I thought it was the perfect image for me on this holiday. I have been learning a lot about being free from the fear of man and also falling in love with Jesus. Dancing on the beach seems to be the perfect combination of these two things. Of course little kids seem to do both of those things best.

a start.

Today I started filming for the music video. I still have so much work to do, but today was really fun. I got to hangout with all my friends in the music track and have them wear sill things. I can´t decide if I want total quality control all the time or if I like the cheep look. meh, I am just thinking while writing. I want to find a style, but I guess that probably takes a lot more movies and time. I need to have some brain storm sessions. Hopefully, I will make a sneak peek sometime soon, but you know how things like that get pushed to the back of the mind and then they fall out. So right now I have 70 shots, but I think I need like 400, or more. Back to the drawing board. I just said that to be cool, I don´t have a drawing board, I use my computer to write out shots/ideas and random scraps of paper.

list.

dinner smells especially delightful tonight.
creativity sometimes flows but other times you must go on an adventure looking for it.
the snow is so pretty but discouraging my running.
one good conversation is worth 20 trivial ones.
laughter during teaching is inappropriate unless the man infront makes a joke.
the words Japan and Tokyo are still running through my head every hour.
me and Jesus have been hanging out more.
I never want to live in a room this small with 3 girls ever again.
I love my room mates.
missionaries come off the field most commonly because their is not enough support.
the church has plenty of money they are simply not generous and focus funds in temporary things rather than eternal things.
yes, I am quite frustrated with Christian spending right now.
this week we are learning about missions.
I am so happy to see more of the sun these days.
outreach is fast approaching.
I have not bought a single item of clothing in almost 6 months.
please pray for me, with outreach prep and health. TAKK
dinner is in 10 minutes and I can't wait.
I now sound like a heifer.

mary poppins.

I am so blessed.
I am getting the sniffles.
I told Alida.
A couple hours later I find this on my bed.
I am pretty sure she is magic just like Mary.
Tusen Takk Alida, I have had a OJ OD.
Mucho loves, my friend.

GO PACK GO!

Yeah! The Packers won!
Although I could not watch because it started at 12 PM, I would be up till 3 AM.
Maybe next year I can be in full support.

Brown Cheese.

A Norwegian staple is brown cheese, I think it is a variety of goat cheese.
I have taken a liking to it when I found out that it is good with raspberry jam.
I like to think of it a mix between peanut butter and cheese.
But now, this morning it has solved on of my life long dilemmas!
You know when you have an apple and you can decide to eat it with cheese or peanut butter.
Now I can just brown cheese it!

culture.

These past few weeks we have been doing culture studies to prepare for outreach. This week we have been having short teachings on different things to help us with culture shock and just being on outreach.

The #1 thing that locals say missionaries could have done better on is not acting like their own culture was better and that they were better. Here are some good quotes to go with it.

Serving while holding an attitude of superiority (even unconsciously) is like, as someone has said, "trying to push a bus while sitting inside of it."

Some saints cannot do menial work while maintaining a saintly attitude, because they feel such service is beneath their dignity. -Oswald Chambers

The architectural charm of Norway really gets me.
Think how beautiful the hands of the man who made this are...

fear.

This week we are learning about "living from the heart"
We have this really awesome teacher, an old rock star who love love loves Jesus.
I can't really explain right now, cause it isn't really a teaching, it is more like an old dude loving on us, singing to us, praying for us, and telling story after story of God's faithfulness. I need some processing I guess. I feel kind of overwhelmed and tired, so this weekend will be a lot of much needed processing time. Today I put a shirt on inside out, then backwards before I got the hang of it... so if none of this make sense then I guess it is just for me.
Some spoken word.

How many times has the fear of man held me back?
Who is man to tell me what I am worth?
Who is man to make me feel the way I do?
Can they give me the love I am seeking for?
Can they give me the consistency that I desire?
No.
Man has only put me in box, after box, after box.

I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
My song, my dance, my love is all for my father.
But my fear of what man might think has stifled my song, restrained my dance, and made my love feel like a religious freak.

Fear now holds everything,
my future is predicted by its clenching teeth,
even my God is limited by its hold on me.

This must end.
