view.

I just thought I would share some photographs I have been taking. I started my first video assignment today. Subject: God's Character, this is also the topic of our teaching this week. This is our first week of a completely normal schedule, with dishes and everything! We have so many awesome different things. We have one on one, small group, intersession groups, and community outreach. Then we have Thursday night supper at the staff's houses, morning chores everyother week. I have breakfast dishes which we are already getting super fast at! Then we have a Wednesday chore which I want to tell you about with pictures, but it is super great. Anyways, busy busy... And then every Friday we have creative day along with once a month we get a whole week of creative!

she's happy in the sunshine.

Hi Hi!
It is sunny here!!!!!!! WOOT WOOT! So everyone at the base is walking, biking, running, smiling, and taking in the beautiful view! It is lovely to feel the warmth on my face. Yesterday (Sunday) was marvalous. The only thing that is planned is meals so we get a lot of hangout time. So Katie and I went down to the coast and hung out on the rocks. Then I got to go on a bike ride with Alida, my beautiful copper haired Norwegian friend with a heart of gold and a voice of an angel. GOOD DAY!
Today, the sunshine was invited by us as we did one on one with staff. This morning we had teaching with David McDaniels. We are learning about the character of God. This man is HILARIOUS and has challenged me already. This week is going to be so good. Please pray that God will reveal his original intent for my life and that I will change into that.
We talked about Japan today. My heart is breaking for these people, .01 of this nation knows the life that God can give. Pray for them.

Sweden #2

We went to Sweden to celebrate the 50 years of YWAM. There we meetings basically all day long about the different things of YWAM, history, ministries, stories of God's faithfulness, University of the Nations, DTS planting, and where we are headed in the next years. So it was really inspiring and informative but got very very boring. Luckly our staff is great and understood, so we got to skip a lot of meetings. So between getting to know my new friends better and learning, it was a fine week. :)
Hope you week was great! loves.
(I can only post 4 pictures at a time so that is why there are so many posts.)

Sweden #1

In Sweden I learned...
#1: They have rows and rows devoted to chocolate!
#2: They have nice cars that travel together.
#3: This is the closest thing to Swedish fish that Swedish stores have.
#4: They do have Swedish meatballs. (we just ate them cold...)

Fixed.

Hi hi!
I fixed the silly little video! So you can watch that :)
I am currently in Sweden and only have my itouch, so pictures when I get back! I am at the 50 year celebration of YWAM finding out all the incredable ways God has blessed this ministry. On Tuesday we drove 12 hours to get here and it was incredible to cross the gorgeous land. Tomorrow we head back. Blessings.

first video!

This is a video that I made with some help from Katie. We were hanging out and had an hour till class so I shared the vision and snapped pictures as Katie moved paint brushes on our floor. This is raw and flawed (like using a tripod and lighting), but we still like it and I hope you do to. It is a little taste of the things to come. :) We had fun and I learned a lot while making it, even though it is just a 30 second film. It is about finding peace and community here at the YWAM Base in Alesund.
Have a fabulous day. Our God is good.

GANGSTA FISH'N: verb
[dressing up in baggy clothes and bandanas, walking to the back of sketchy factory, and fishing off the docks.]
So, I went ganster fishing with Andre' and Gareth. We didn't catch anything, but the guys went swimming in the ocean!
Here is some more beautiful pictures. :)

fim. sweden. food.

Yesterday, I had my first track meeting. :) It went pretty good. I got to look at all the equipment, it is quite lovely! The film room is super great (pictures will come), it has a couch and three desks with HUGE macs :)!!!!
After meeting we had free time and I had nothing to do so... me and Katie made a little stop motion film, this is a picture of her helping me. I am having a bunch of problems with editing it but as soon as I get it all figured out I will put it up for your viewing pleasure!
On Tuesday, we head to Sweden for a big Scandinavian YWAM gathering to celebrate 50 years of being in operation! I am super excited, but I have no idea of what I am doing, so when I get back I'll tell you all about it.
food. So pretty much all that Norwegians eat is bread... we have the same meal three times a day, breakfast, lunch, and then supper. There is thick bread, mild cheeses, jam, peanut butter (but that is only for the Americans), Nugati(like nutella), tomatos, cucumbers, red peppers, cereals, and some salami.
Coffee and Tea are ever present.
Then at DINNER, we have a hot yummy meal like rice and chili, pizza, mushroom soup... ALWAYS wonderful. :)
I also like to walk down the hill to a little store that sells chocolate! yummmmy.
mucho loves.

hike.

We went for a hike! We were supposed to go up and spend the night but it rained the whole time like only Norway can so we just hauled a bunch of stuff up. :) It was wet and freezing but something about this beautiful group of people made the trip fun anyway. We worked together on obsticles, mind games, and nature sculpting on the way up, at the top we did the hokey pokey and various other dances to stay warm, and I received Norwegian lessons from Ingrid the whole way down. All the while seeing the beautiful Norwegian lands. Click on the pictures to make them bigger.

new home.

Last night: I made it to Norway after 5 flights! I met 3 girls on the way on being my wonderful room mate Katie. (Sadie & Katie cute I know!) All went well until we missed the bus we were supposed to get on. We thought it was the wrong one and we were waiting for the next one. Turns out it was the last bus going to the right place and the phone number we had didn't help either. The airport closed and we got kicked out on the side walk after the security guard called us a taxi. After standing on the sidewalk in the rainy night for fifteen minutes, the taxi came and brought us to the base. :) So we made it!!!!! yeah!
Today: I slept till twelve and then met every body, including my second room mate Benadikta from Norway! I am having fun already. It was super chill cause not everyone got here till this evening. I went on 2 walks, and mostly just hung out. It is beautiful here, the mountains and ocean are so near. The base is lovely, all wood floors, and the girls bathroom newly remodeled! My room is TINY!!!!!!! and there are 3 of us but it is kinda cosy.
We had the opening chapel tonight and the worship was incredible! I also got to hear a Norwegian folk hymn by our DTS creative leaders, it was incredible.
Pictures to come. :)

flying.

I am now waiting for my flight to Sweden, then to Oslo, Norway, then to Alesund. :)

As for my misson to appear European...
The security guy said, "Oh, you speak English!"

Things are going well.
