Lyrics No Music

Hopefully I will get this little song recorded some time so my 34 fans can hear it but mostly because it will force me to create more than just a melody and lyrics but something to go along with it. This song shows the Alaskan in me, I think. It is really hilarious to change the lyrics for lawyer... a late night at the office, then he will come home to me, tired from paperwork, he will smell like a sub that he ate for lunch, he will grumble and state his case... well that wasn't really hilarious but I imagine a plumber version could be quite funny.

A fisherman's wife is what I'd like to be,
Away from the hustle and bustle just sea.
A fisherman's wife is what I'd like to be,
nothing much more for me, please.

His nights late at sea,
then he will come home to me,
weathered from the wind,
he will smell like the fish and salt from the air,
he will smile and tell his tale.

A fisherman's wife is what I'd like to be,
Away from the hustle and bustle just sea.
A fisherman's wife is what I'd like to be,
nothing much more for me, please.

We will have a life much smaller than most,
with fish and bread and tea.
Oats in the morning for strength for the day,

we will glance at each other and I'll smile and say.

A fisherman's wife is what I like to be,
Away from the hustle and bustle just sea.
A fisherman's wife is what I  like to be,
nothing much more for me, please.
