And I slipped a picture of me and Katie in there of hanging out back stage before helping with a

dance performance.

Okay so the Arts Gathering.

Basically it was a conference for artists by artist put on by my school. There were two speakers on a graphic designer and the other a songwriter working in London. There was a musicain from the States, Andrew, who lead us in worship and also is having a concert tonight. He has a great voice. Then there were a few singer songwriters from Norway, wonderful to listen to! There are four fine artists who were doing painting at different places and sometimes during the meetings. Along with that there was a sculpter and a performing group doing street ministries. So many creative people who love Jesus all in one place was great. Many of the teachings focused on how to serve the Lord with the Arts.

Asia keeps coming up as a place that needs missionaries. 70% of Asia know nothing about Jesus. We should be runnig there! Pray that God will show our leaders if that is where our two month Spring Outreach should send a team there.

There will be more blogging on this event but I just wanted to get one up.

The Alesund base is putting this event on to encourage artists use their arts for the glory of God. There are two speeking sessions each day with worship and art. We have Unique Opportunity sessions, where we got to learn about street art, dance schools, prayers houses... There is a concert at the cafe each night. So we have some long days hanging out in the beautiful down town Alesund.

Family time!

Every Wednesday I get to do some awesome things.

One of them is called family time.

For an hour in the morning the staff families come and we do an activity!

This week we formed three choirs.

Each had a crazy director.

We had 15 mins to prepare and then...we had to perform.

That is my group.

We had three parts going and motions....BUT

(this is the leader of "Grandma and the tacky Gospel Choir" or Alida!)

...This little judge here ruined our chances at victory.

There was lots of laughter. :)

ummmm. ya.

Oh the things we do...

#1 Take a cardboard box that was in your room and fashion it to fit perfectly over the toilet. Then right "Lift!" on it. :)

It ended up mostly just confusing people resulting in them going downstairs to the bathroom. :)

This is what happens when you get bored and take a walk to the skate park.

This is what Tuesday means... Small group.

It is the highlight of my day to meet with these beautiful faces and hearts.

We get two hours of hangout time, mostly we drink tea and talk. Today I shared my life. Pictures of my family, friends, and home. ( I love that I'm from Alaska!)

The leaves are starting to come so we hung out on the trampoline for a while before going into Gabby's cute little apartment.

In the purple is Gabby, our leader. She is from the HI islands, but lived in Alaska for a bit when we was younger. She is a wonderful listener and is super fun.

The beauty with her mouth wide open is Alida, she is a Norwegian musician with one of my favorite voices ever and one of my dearest friends.

In the black jacket is Lyndsay, an artist from Washington, sweeter than candy and the best to have a heart to heart with.

On the end is AnnaMarthe, of Norway, is a bubbly artist, with a joyful spirit and a sincere heart for seeking and hearing God.

  This weekend 3 students, Lyndsay, Cheralynn, and Ostine got baptised in the North Sea. It was a powerful testemony of letting many struggles go. You might be seeing a video about it sometime soon. :) I road bikes to the fjord with Alida to watch and pray.
  Aaaaaround the base... we had 5 people eating there dinner with no hands. :) We go crazy on the weekends, haha.
  Thoughs are my little feet... I was plugging something in behind the couch and Katie decided to touch me, resulting in me falling and being partially stuck. The computer did get plugged in!
 
And this last picture is an illustration of God's goodness.
So in Alesund it rains and rainboots are a really great thing to have. But I didn't bring mine and was looking to buy some. I was hoping I could share with Katie sometimes but she has a size 7 foot and mine is a 9. So I looked in Sweden but things are expensive and I just didn't feel like I should get them, so I started praying that God would provide me with a pair of boots. Katie bought some in Sweden and then remember she was getting some in a box from her parents but didn't feel she should take the new ones back. A week later the box came and we were saying how it was a bummer they wouldn't fit me. Then we looked and they were a size 9. She had worn them a couple times before but they didn't fit her, and they fit me! God is the provider. :)

This week I found something from my mom in the mail, and I LOVED it!
So in high hopes of some notes I thought I would give you my address in a place where you can always find it! Handy, I know!
So here it is. Make sure to go into the Post Office because you can't just willy nilly send regular stamps to Norway. It cost like $1 or $2.

Today, I am enjoying CREATIVITY!!!!! It is creative friday, so I am hanging out in the film room. We made a 1 to 2 min little video just to show an idea and have something to start with. So, mine is just a sketch of what I hope it will be. Mine is mostly shots of dancing feet. I thought I would keep it simple for the first one. This week our teaching by David McDaniels, a missionary to Japan, was great. The head knowledge is sinking down to my heart! My biggest surgery was that God is creative! I knew this, he created the earth. But this time I realized that he is an artist, and a weird one, so he must like my art and want it to glorify him! It is a sunny October 1st.
